Besides aloe vera and Tylenol, what can I do to keep the pain at bay? Love it or shove it!

Hey Yuper, I heard Tylenol rips apart the lining of your stomach! But what can I say... I love it anyway! The sunburn is still kicking my ass. Any pressure on it whatsoever makes me yelp in pain. So I've been forced to wear strapless corsets the past few days.
I mean, like, where is the sun?

Nat, you need to take a cool bath. Add vinegar to the bathwater. You'll smell like an Easter egg, but vinegar takes the sting out. I'm firmly planted in denial

Benzocaine... :writes it down: thanks, apples! I'm going to research sunburns on the net. How long until this mess clears up?? My mom refuses to look at me, she's so pissed I skipped on the sunblock (I have very fair skin and burn easily, she's worried about skin cancer!) So until the redness disappears I have to stay out of sight of my mother... You're welcome, bunny! It's going to be about five days (from the time of the burn) until you're feeling better. (oops...hope I didn't touch the burn! )

Does the vinegar hurt? I found out hot baths do NOT work well... I took an oatmeal one today. It worked ok. I mean, like, where is the sun?

I've never heard that about Tylenol, but I know it to be true of Ibuprofen. The thing about it is, there are milligrams high enough that you should eat something prior to taking it. If you don't it's gonna hurt. I made the mistake of not eating something before taking either a 600 milligram or 800 milligram pill. And you can only get that high a dosage by presciption. If you take the over the counter kind, I think it'll only be 200 milligrams per pill. But knowing what I know about Ibuprofen it's probably best if you still eat something prior to the low dosage, especially if you use it a lot. It doesn't have to be a lot of food either. It can be as simple as crackers. The pharmacist tells you to either eat or drink milk before taking it. ` [This message was edited Mon Jun 14 19:58:29 2004 by Supernova] This post not for the wimp contingent. I don't know why I think I 'know' that - I have nothing factual to back it up. It's like how margarine is just as bad for you as butter, just in different ways. Anyhow, I may just end up without a liver someday... I mean, like, where is the sun?
