Looks like a case of spyware on your PC. Try downloading and running 'adaware'. That should clean it up.

You need these:
Spybot 1.3 (don't need all the extra protection, just the cleaner): http://www.safer-networki...e=download CWShredder: http://www.spywareinfo.co...loads.html Set your "Messenger" to DISABLED (it's in Computer Management Console under Services and Applications. Right-Click your My Computer Icon and hit "Manage" to get the CMC) Use a different browser shell: www.myie2.com Use a good Anti Virus program: www.grisoft.com There is another program out there named HiJackThis! for web browsers that keep having their homepage set to some lame spyware spam site no matter how often they change their stuff. if I ever get a pop up I got to my favorites and change it to the org before closing so it doesn't give me more pop ups. | |

Spybot-advanced.
I also use AOL 9.0 (I'm cheap and it's free dammit!) and it has a pop-up block. You need to download Spybot and run it several times per day, depending on how often you're on the net. | |

Just do what dauphin recommended and the problem will be gone.
Otherwise, download and install adaware, go to the adaware site and download a special plug-in that they have that disables the messenger. I did this and have not had a pop-up since. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. | |
