I don't hate the Lakers, I just think that some members of their team are cacky and arrogant enough. LA is a wonderful city, but it's basketball team (Lakers, not Clippers ) isn't short off swollen heads. It's somebody else's turn to shine.. I'd say he's underrated. Defense wins the ring, Ben Wallace represents a work ethic and hussle unlike any other player in the league. He's not the best offensive player, but he continues to improve every season. He's the only player in the league that can shut down an entire team with his hard defensive play. You can't stop anybody with a smooth jumpshot and a quick first step, because that's very common in the NBA. If you cross them over and dunk...big deal, they can do the same thing to you on the other end, that is...if you can play defense you can stop them from dunking on you.

He's vastly overrated...his shot is poor, his free throws are horrendous...basically,
he's a one-dimentional player. That's defense. Which he learned from the
Bad Boys organization. (read: I could call a foul on him everytime down the court)

The ONE THING I like about him is his effort, but that's not really saying much is it?
Jimmy from the recreational club also puts out MUCH EFFORT.

Like I said, overrated.
