the org and the club are also similar in that they're both classic dysfunctional families - certain folks are scapegoated out as "bad guys" while the real meanie-kabobs are the ones people would never in a million years suspect as having an arch bone in their bodies.

or something like that. wink

Interesting... but could you be a little more specific - without name dropping - about how people get scapegoated on the org?

The NPGMC is like having a little party, but at home with mom upstairs hearing everything.

The Org is the same, except your big sis' in charge of supervision and she'll allow a little pot and will close her eyes on some things.

EWM, I dunno if you have an NPGMC account or not, but I'd love to see you post that pic over there. To crudely paraphrase Miss Celie, "see what kinda colors wind up on the wall THEN."

I refuse to join the NPGMC. It would be nice if I could post stuff over there and have it stick.

That's an interesting thought. Would you care to expand a bit on that and perhaps throw in a few examples?

For example, when I posted this photoshop pic not too long ago:

POOK EDIT!

So far, it's been deleted from 2 threads and will probably be deleted from here too. Several individuals found the pic offensive, but couldn't simply scroll past it. Instead, they had to protest it and flood the threads with complaints and other bullshit. My freedom of expression was stifled by a few people who couldn't handle it.

There are pros and cons for both sites but personally I do frequent here more often because it is much more lenient then NPGMC. The official site is great for downloads and purchasing tickets or merchandise.

I like the NPGMC, it's where I got my start posting at Prince boards. I guess I ended up posting here more because I'm on 56k so it takes awhile to get into the place. But I'd like to get back into the swing of posting there eventually.

As for which one is better than which, other than the convience of this place, I don't really have a preference.

i guess i regard the NPGMC as being populated by those obsessed-fan folks who inevitably, at the live shows, push their way viciously through the crowd toward the front of the stage and stand there, dancing the hardest, laughing the loudest and talking the most in an effort to be noticed and eventually taken onstage by prince *himself*

just on that basis i'm happier at the org. there is less pretense among people here, i think, because we're not constantly asking ourselves 'is prince watching me?' like folks do on the NPGMC boards. my 2c
