Has anybody else been kidnapped?

It was a Monday morning. I had stayed the night at my best friends house. At the time my car was not working so she was going to give me a ride back to my apartment so I could get ready for work. Right before she got into the shower, she handed me the keys to her car and said to go ahead and get ready and then come back and she'd drive me to work.

So I go home, get ready and I'm now on my way back to her apartment. I'm sitting at a red light. The light turns green and I proceed. Right as I'm passing through the second half of the intersection, a guy runs a red light and plows right into the car on the passenger side! omg The car goes spinning, hits another car (which takes off) and slams into a light pole.

I'm totally dazed and confused as I hit my head really hard. As I came to a crashing stop I saw the van that hit me stopping. I look to my left and people are running across the street to help me. I look to the right and I can see the driver of the van running over to the car.

A woman helps me out and asks if I'm OK. I asked her if I was bleeding and she said no. I told her I was kind of dazed but other than that I was OK (no broken bones etc....) So the guy who hit me approaches and he's got a kid in his arms. The kid is crying. He asks me if I'm OK and I say yes, I ask him if his baby is OK and he said that the baby wasn't strapped into the carseat when he hit me and that the baby hit his head (people, strap your kids in their seats!!!!) no no no!

The guy appologizes. He's high cuz I can smell marijuana on his breath. What a dickhead driving high with a child in his car. Anyway, he invites me back to his car to exhcange information. He opens the driver door and cliimbs in and puts the baby in the car seat, this time strapping him in and he opens the passenger door and invites me to sit down so we could write down addresses, phone #s', insurance etc... I'm about half way through writing down my information when he suddenly screeches away from the scene! omfg

I'm not even belted in and the passenger door swung shut. I yelled out "What are you doing???!!!" He nervously says that he's uninsured and can't involve the police. I look back to see 2 cop cars pulling up to the scene of the accident. I'm freaking out because I don't know this guy, or if he's on anything other than weed. I'm afraid. I told him "Look, I don't care if you run, just let me out.". He said he would let me out but had to get away from the scene as he had a warrant for his arrest and didn't want to go to jail.

He drove me halfway across town and dropped me off. I did get his phone number and license plate. He swore that he knew people that did body work and that one guy owed him a favor and he'd have the car fixed. That never happened, surprise surprise. hammer

So now I'm half way across town and call 911 to report what happened. I told them to send a cop car so I could get back to the scene of the accident. They said they could not do that. I was like, what the hell? You can't send a cruiser over to pick me up so I can get back to the scene of the accident. They said they weren't a taxi service pissed

So I call my best friend to tell her the bad news. She and 2 other friends came to pick me up. We get back to the scene of the accident and I walk up to the cops to tell them what happened and they handcuff me!!!! mad They asked me why I left the scene and I told them. They didn't believe me! They thought that I was involved in some kind of insurance scam and they were going to arrest me for hit and run. I was like Wait!!! You are going to arrest me for hit and run?? I was the one who got hit!!! They told me that because I left the scene of the accident I could be charged with a crime. At this point my other best friend steps in and pulls the cop aside. She told her that they had it all wrong about me. She said that if they gave me 10 years to hatch a plot to scam an insurance company in that way, that I'd never be able to pull it off. She told her that simply was not in my character. They believed her and they took the cuffs off.

OK, so I wasn't kidnapped in the normal sense but I was taken without my permission so I think that qualifies as a kidnapping.

Anybody else ever been kidnapped? Might I add that this thread wasn't created to make people relive their drama if they were kidnapped, just to relay a story from my not so boring life. biggrin

Here's a strange twist. I worked in Customer Service for a furniture company and I handled the Southern California territory. He worked for one of my customers that I dealt with nearly every day!!! omg

My friend filed a claim with her insurance company and we gave them this guys info. They paid off the loan but we never heard if they made him pay anything. Shortly after this happened I pulled my $$$ from 401 K and gave my friend $2500 which she gave to her mom and her mom gave her the 2nd car they had.

What a crazy time in life. This was one of those evil streaks because 3 weeks after this accident I lost my job. Got totally framed for something i didn't do and I got canned. It sucked!

A friend of mine and I used to kidnap friends for their birthdays, etc. Blindfolds, handcuffs, etc. That was all until an elderly neighbor of one of my friends (kidnap victims) thought it was the real thing and had the cops after us one day. Having guns pointed at you is NOT fun, I might add. confused

Scraping the barrel a bit here..I had to bail my mate Rach out of an indian resteraunt. We were both drunked and thought it would be cool to do a runner. She didn't make it. The bawdy waiters said that she would have to stay over night in the resteraunt unless we paid. I had to run round Sheffield like a tit trying to find a cash machine and run back to the resteraunt. I paid and finally we could go home for some action.

I think you need the love of a good woman to straighten you out, young man. Have you ever experienced a lady's front-bottom? Its a well know fact that sodomy breeds crime. Well, sodomy is crime in 14 states of the U.S.A.
