I'm boycotting Catwoman. DC is letting the studios ruin its characters. mad

Nope. Even Halle can't save the disgrace that the movie represents for me.

"Anchorman" with Will Ferrell. Getting good advance notice.

"Saved!" a satire about Baptists.

The new "Harry Potter"

Shrek2 (Mike Meyers)

Can't wait to see this!!!

Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman)

One of the worst films I've ever seen. Gives Batman & Robina run for worst film ever!!!

Spider-Man 2 (Tobey MacGuire)

This movie is gonna rock!!! More than any other movie this year, I'm stoked about this one. Raimi looks to outdo himself with this one!

Troy (Brad Pitt)

Looks quite good!!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner Of Azkaban (Daniel Radcliffe)

My favorite of the Potter books looks to become my favorite of the films!

Catwoman (Halle Berry)

This movie will suck shit through a straw. Halle may be beautiful, but that won't save this travesty of a movie. Even the trailer looks awful. Add in the blasphemous changes to the character, and you have the makings of a flick that looks like its aiming to be as awful as possible.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy (Will Ferrell)

Looks funny

I, Robot (Will Smith)

I'm dissapointed in Will. A few years ago he was doing great stuff. He jumped the shark with Wild Wild West, and hasn't been able to get back on track. This butchering of the classic sci-fi novel doesn't look like it will break his streak of bad films. C'mon, Will! We know you can do better! Did you quite listening to Jada's advice on which scripts to pick??? Listen to her man! She knows better than you do!!!

Day After Tomorrow (Dennis Quaid)

Looks fun. Just a big special effects orgy, but that can be entertaining. I expect it will be all style, no substance, but that's okay.

I went and saw TROY last night I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. Would I sit through it again !??!, but I will probably get it on DVD.

I'm also boycotting Crapwoman. However, I must point out that DC has no say in the matter. They are owned by AOHell/Time Warner, and the studio has carte-blanche to do what they want with the characters. This is how you can have great stuff like "Smallville" and Batman Begins, but garbage like the Superman script that is currently in pre-production. Its all luck of the draw if someone who actually knows these characters gets their hands on them. The WB suits are clueless, and farm them out to whomever (how else would McG get his mitts on Superman???)

Now, Marvel is in a very different position. Avi Arad, head of Marvel studios, liscenses the characters to whatever studio he feels will do the best job, and puts up the best talent. He's a smart man, and doesn't want to see his characters turned into crap. Has he made a couple of mistakes? Sure, but on the whole he's done a good job. Arad also has veto power over any script problems he doesn't like (this is actually part of the reason that the "Fantastic Four" movie has taken a while to get off the ground. Arad has actually vetoed several scripts that have strayed too much from the source material). Marvel is an independent entity, not owned by a major conglomerate, so they have more bargaining power.

Trust me, there are plenty of folks at DC who are pissed about Crapwoman, and even more who were pissed about Batman & Robin back in the day. They are not allowed to voice dissenting opinions on the matter (unless they're an independent under contract who doesn't give a shit, like Grant Morrison. If they fire him, Marvel will take him back with open arms. No one at WB dares to tell him to shut up about the films, since he makes them too much money).

Good idea, then you can just watch it on fast-foward, and pause it on all the shots of Halle looking sexy. You won't have to sit through the awful "story". Same with Van Helsing. Just watch the parts with Kate Beckinsale and you'll be okay!!!
