I think Diana is so cute and I loved her from the beginning, but Fantasia needs to win this! She is just so amazing, and she really makes any song she sings. Last night, when Diana sang the song that was written for them, it was a boring, unforgettable song. Fantasia turned it into a GREAT one. I never realized how much power the singers have over the songs until Fantasia's performance brought the whole audience to tears.

The show will lose whatever credibility it has left if Fantasia doesn't win.
The first year, there was a big disparity between Justin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson, but at least Guarini fit the image of someone who can survive on a combination of looks and voice. The second year, both finalists were the right picks. This year, Diana has a good voice but she's nowhere as good as Latoya and doesn't have looks to explain herpopularity. Stonger voice than Justin, yes, but overall a more lopsided contest, with Fantasia a clear winner. | |

Some of it is shocking, but after a moment or two, it only confirms the type of world that we are living in. Some things have changed for the better, but when it comes to stereotypes and generalizations, we as a nation have a long way to go. Funny it took a tv show to really demonstrate that. wow....i havent been touched by a perfomance on tv since mary j did "no more drama" during the grammys...
Fantasia WORKED it OUT during the final show.....Sure the song is an uptenth version of "man in the mirror" but with her voice, it WORKS!! this will be the first american idol artist I will buy.... for all the naysayers who crap on this type of show i say this, GET FUCKING OVER IT!! Tina Turner would be nothing if she didnt get the chance to perform for Ike during a talent night...and thats all American Idol is....an overblown talent night.... but this year it blew Fantasia to a much larger audience then any gospel tinged r&b singer would have ever recieved... and for that i am going to forever be thankful for....FANTASIA ROCKS!!! i loved kelly clarkson even though i HATE american idol. american idol stands for artificial intelligience. lol kelly was a real sweetheart. contrary to what many say, this white girl can sing her azzzz off. bottom line. she deserved the recognition she received really. plus, i love her attitude. go kelly! | |
