Nah, but for real, folks was doing it in my day. Well, not exactly X-rated bracelet trading, but the likes of those freaky things. So this is nothing new. I think the kids are just trying to understand themselves, as well as the opposite sex. I am understanding of curiosity such as at a young age the kids get into that Show me your's an I'll show u mine thing- it's natural curiosity. of couse then it delves into truth & dare then spin the bottle.... my concern is that some of thses young kids are serious here and it is just a game to them.... teenagers- I can understand- not that i condone it- i just understand. But I don't need my 8 year old gettin into this game thinkin that's all it is. She has shown me that I have taught her well and that she has a good head on her shoulders for 8! I think I am more open to her questions then her father.... now- if somethin had happened and I was not around.....????? I know being that her being daddy's lil girl, he could not bear to hear it....and she would be too shy to talk about it.
sexuality is natural and should not be hidden- but we do need to talk with the kids. It just seems scary as hell to have this type of convo with an 8 year old- 13 and up might be a lil easier to digest but it is the times i guess. I am just a mommie learnin on the journey od adolescents..... | |

I have to be, sweetheart! I'm a parent(and a single one 4 that matter) so when I see shit like this in the newspaper(which is old "SOMEWHERE" like someone stated) it ought to makes me paranoid or something other-wise I'm just a brain-dead fool(no offence). I guess we all see "THINGS"(  ) differently!That's OK  Maybe my little part of the world looks a bit safer.
