This is from those pinheads at Aintitcoolnews. Now, I'm taking this with a huge grain of salt, since these are the same folks who reported "with certainty" that the title for Episode III was "The Creeping Fear" (it is most definitely not, according to Lucas), and the same ones who showed us the "new" screenshot from ROTJ with Hayden Christiansen as Anakin (which was a big, freakin photoshop fake!). Still, if this is true, it could be interesting. Read on:

"We’ve heard repeatedly now about marketing meetings that Lucasfilm has been holding internationally, in which they’ve laid out their plans for the next five years or so. One of the cornerstones of that plan has been a TV show rumored to start in the fall of 2006. So what would a STAR WARS TV show be about? What premise could possibly fuel a weekly series that wouldn’t also tread on the toes of film continuity? Normally, I’d say a bad guy couldn’t really carry the weight of audience sympathy week to week as the star of a show, but Boba Fett is no ordinary bad guy, and this would certainly give Lucasfilm an entire galaxy of possibilities, story-wise.

Can't say i trust anything from AICN, but if this were true it might well work. I wonder if it'd be Daniel Logan in the starring role?

wouldn't mind seeing the Purge with him involved, it'd be interesting to see if there's much interaction between him and other existing characters in the saga. I'm not too keen on seeing a young Han Solo though (or any Human characters we know and love for that matter). Vader and Jabba would be cool though.

I think a lot of people's perceptions of the last two movies has been clouded by their expectations after waiting 16 years and expecting a movie so phenomenal that God himself would show up on Earth to go see it. If people take each movie for what it is and don't try to compare to something that has been raised up on a pedastal so high that nothing has a chance of capturing the same magic, maybe they would see that each movie DOES in fact have a good story going for it and not just some 2 hour special effects show.

As for the series, I kinda doubt we'd have Logan in Fett's costume. It would be interesting, though, to see how Fett and Vader end up eradicating the Jedi from their galaxy save for the Skywalker children, Kenobi, and Yoda.

Logan could do it. This is him recently in fanmade costume. Apparently Lucasfilm sanctioned these photos as episode III publicity, even though it appears Fett isn't going to be in the movie.

Dang! He's grown up fast since I saw him two years ago!
