i think old people names should come back into fashion, like betty and grace and harold and henry. i've always thought henry was a sexy name.

All these people who think they were so clever by naming their kids after geographic places. It seems very damn 5 year old I meet is named Dakota or Madison. I also think that Makayla is been GREATLY overused in the last 10 years.

both my grandfathers were named chester. if it weren't for people saying "chester the molester" i'd root for that as a cool baby name. "chet" is a pretty studly nickname.

I hate the way people take ordinary names and spell them wrong. For example, Jack, spelt Jak, or Alison spelt Allyson. mad

You've not done anything big nor clever, just condemend your children to spelling out there name for the rest of their lives.

that's freakin' annoying. you're just gonna damn your child to a lifetime of people rolling their eyes when they try to spell the poor brat's name.

I know of someone who named their son 'Jaxon'. I think that looks goofy.

I agree with a lot of the above names, especially 'Dylan'. That name should be banned it's been so overused.

On the subject of baby names, my cousin had a baby girl last year and named her Electra. Her mother thought she was nuts to name her that. I don't know what to think - being a Prince fan, I think it's kind of cool, but then I imagine myself being a little girl named Electra, growing up in a small town in North Dakota (if you lived where I did you'd understand what I mean by that smile) and I think that kid's in for a whole mess of hassle once she starts school.

Me too. I like really old fashioned names like Gertrude (Trudy!) and Agnes and Verna and Clarence.
