My mom and sisters know of it (dad doesn't care) because I mention it every once in a while. Last November, I disappeared off the face of the earth for a few weeks - didn't call/write home or anything - and what did my family do? Instead of trying to CALL MY MOBILE, they went on the org to look for me.

Boyfriend knows cause he's a Prince fan, hardcore Housequaker, and also member of the org... we talk about this place quite a bit... otherwise I try to keep it under wraps cause it makes me feel like a loooooser...

My wife used to think it's weird. You know, at first she couldn't comprehend me having friends i.e there being a real on-line community, on the internet.

However, over time she has come to appreciate that it does mean alot to me and that the people are real. I think that the fact that I have now met and are quite friendly with some orgers in real life has helped to convince her. Having said all this, she still gets pissed if I'm on the computer for hours (lucky she's not here at work).

Almost everyone does now 'cause of Matthew. Before him, just the people I talk to the most. . .my best friend, probably my parents. . .it comes up in conversation, you know? "This guy on the org said. . ." . . .I mean, eventually you have to stop and explain what this place is.

Which is pretty damn difficult, actually. Most people can't figure out the community part aside from Prince. "Wait, it's a Prince site? Then why were you talking about a kid who got a peanut lodged in his sinuses?" or whatever. mr.green

Exactly!!! lol

There's something wrong with anyone who doesn't.

So like, what's your top 'pick like? Mine's nothing fancy, really, but it causes some memorable wounds that the more expensive icepicks can't touch.

I know as a result of my continuous talking about this site, a family member and co-worker have looked here. I don't know if they've joined though. hmmm

Some do..

They think it's rather amusing that a 51 year old woman is playing with a bunch of kids..

But I know better... besides my org family keep me informed, and young.

Thanks people for that.. smile
