Milty has something to say

in light of today's insane and demonic events in Iraq where the contract worker was killed on tv, i just wanted to say that we better start taking care of each other. there is some crazy stuff going on (some of it we know nothing about) and it's all affecting our futures. when they showed what they could within acceptable boudaries on the news tonight, it really freaked me out. i couldn't help but think what if that was me: an innocent just trying to get ahead like anyone else and that shit happen to me.
the Earth is not getting better either. today at work i learned that because of rising sea levels, salinity levels in endemic cedar trees here are getting higher and so they dying off. quickly.
we are killing off the Earth and it's inhabitants at such a frightening pace. let's get this right people because we only get one chance to.

i was just outside my house and the sound on which i live on the edge of was absolutely still. the water was like glass and i could see the reflection of all the lights on the other side. it's so beautiful and peaceful. i couldn't be luckier.

Do I ever hear that one! It is precisely why I can't be concerned with countering a single second of ribbing here. I no longer feel its about me. If it isn't going to matter in a year or 2 it isn't worth energy now either. My pride and ego are just gonna have to take a back-seat. (It is never to late to learn)
This world is hurting. My petty self seeking ways just aren't gonna cut it. I make an effort to reach out and offer a good word ... a touch.. or just listen. It may not solve world troubles but it matters to those I affect and it has meant everything to me those that have taught me by demonstrating the same.
Oh gees.... lol... we were just talking about Gods pop quiz's. I bomb em constantly!!! rolleyes I think I just passed one.... woot!

I see fewer and fewer things controlling me. Which makes me far more available to make a difference instead of being a drain on the planet. I may just get somewhere as a person one day Milty! There is hope. smile

Actively hoping and doing is the one things that keeps life going... it's how you apply it that matters on world influence. Choose wisely is what I keep in mind. Like Winston Churchill said, "Success is never final."

There even was a time I stopped reading ANY newspapers.
My news source was BBC CeeFax.
Now it's Dutch Teletext, which offers you the actual news, without all the gory pictures and propaganda.

Don't trust CNN, they leave a lot to be desired. www.bbc.com

I do, but only entertaining stuff and kewl documentaries, like this great one on hip sneakers on Dutch tele.

And Charmed. And Everwood. And Enterprise. Relaxing stuff. I was way too serious as a child. I am now in my playful period.

Bring on the Lego's. The AT-AT, please.

Unfortunately many of us are the cause of our own afflictions. But never admit to those. And yes, it is time to move on..

So, I wonder who would really commit to making a difference in life? Would you step out of your boundaries to embrace an individual that perhaps you found discontent with?

That is the stepping stone to enlightenment..

We can say that we will only surround ourselves with individuals that fit our perfect picture. Those people will not grow you.. It is the adverse that makes for growth.

Anyway my two cents...

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown
