it grates me. i try not to look around at them...but i can't help it.

Oh, man I am 100% behind you on bagpipes (that sounded kinda weird ). I really cannot stand the noise. I know others do - no disrespect, but it just...churns my brain.

But i dig violins and, especially, creatures of the night.

Another one i can't stand is people whistling out of tune. God, just thinking of it makes me want to kill someone.

that tone a Nextel makes whens somebody beeps you - especially at a restaurant, while you're trying to enjoy your lunch.

do that and prepare for a death stare from yours truly!

Okay, my ultimate hated noise is.... a Tap dripping at night.

The sound of a creeking door when you are sound and snug in bed. It's very irritating.

i guess moist sloppy mouth noises in general - ewww - keep your MASTICATING to yourself.

my downstairs neighbor's music collection (not a big fan of creed or sammy hagar-era van halen)

forced melisma (as in, about 90% of anyone who sings on american idol)
that spazzy ass hi-nrg sped up gay club techno music, or as i call it, "munchkin music"
morrissey's voice (flame away - i think he's a fine lyricist, i just can't abide his voice)
lite jazz (with lots and lots and lots of chimpy sounding tenor sax - this is ear hell to me)

listening to people talk about sports

stray cats in heat when i'm trying to sleep

Hums from refrigirators, computers and fans.

Kitchen sounds.
Barking downtairs.
The TV in the other room, loud.
Birds (there's one chirping right now).
Some people's voices.
PA annoucements.
Trucks.
Portable generators.
Talk radio (ah!)
Crickets.
Telepnone rings.
Car passing by in the rain at night.
Swarms of little children.
Whatever you're doing now... shhh!

I can't stand when someone clears their throat over and over and over and over again.

I can't deal with people who sneeze more than two consecutive times. When I was little, I would get mad at my mother for sneezing seven times in a row. hehehehe

That's just nasty. Open-mouthed eaters are gross. And anyway, if you chew with your mouth shut, the flavor lasts longer because it's trapped inside your motuh.

That's the argument I use on my open-mouthed eater friends, anyway.
