How Does One Find A New Job When...

...all of their experience happens to be in fields which no longer hold their interest? I've been an accountant, an admin, and worked customer service - and I hated all 3. I'd love to go back to school, but can't affort to at the present. I want a new job doing something creative, even if it's nothing more than proofing text for erectile disfunction pamphlets. The rub is, I have zero schooling or experience relating to advertising/design/art/writing, my resume is full of things I no longer care to pursue.

Any suggestions? Sorry for the whining.

Put together a portfolio online and then tout it around - that's what I intend to do.

We have exactly the same problem, I'm now trying to get a job (any kind) with a company that works in the field I would like to work in (which btw is also grafic design). Then I'll try and study while I work, so I'll be able to afford it.
Resently I started an empowerment training (lucky for me it's free, from the employment agency) which helps me to find out what I like most, what I can do best and where the best chances there are to get the job.
They teach me how to promote myself in the best and most honest way. thumbs up!

The thing is, if you really want it, go for it and you'll get it, don't worry! nod

Best of luck hug
