So I'm on my way home tonight thumbing through the new Rolling Stone that I bought on my break earlier in the day, sitting on the bus reading the articles leading up to the cover story...hey, cool, an interview with Patti Smith...aw, what an adorable picture of Loretta Lynn, gotta read that story later...and to be honest, I'm not all THAT excited to read the Prince story because it seems like he has a set amount of soundbytes that he's been rattling off to the journalists during this tour..."I done pushed the envelope off the table", blah blah blah...but who am I kidding, I'm just geeking out over the fact that lil' man is on the cover of RS again...

...and then I notice the picture of the girl handing Prince flowers at a show, and it occurs to me that the picture looks awfully familiar. I look at the caption, and sure enough - "Champaign, Illinois" - hey, I was there! And that girl was right next to us! And so I scan the picture a little deeper, and - HOLY CRAP - there's The Orger Formerly Known As/Stymie, clutching her pearls in astonishment as Prince bends down to take the girl's flowers...and I squint my eyes and keep on looking, and then...and even though the face is mostly obscured, I realize that I'd recognize that schnozz anywhere....it's ME!!!

HOLY CRAP, we're in ROLLING STONE!!! WOO HOO!!!!

TOFKA has more bragging rights than I do...you can see her plain as day in the picture...I'm a lil' bit more "Where's Waldo?" ("Where's Anxy"?)...but dang. How cool is that?

Just thought I'd share. As if that show wasn't an amazing enough experience for me as it was, now Ivy and I have a photo of us at the show to enjoy. I gotta say it again: HOW COOL IS THAT???

Well, I didn't want to tell anyone, but they asked ME to be on the cover of the new Rolling Stone, but I didn't approve of the headline: "ANXIETY ON FIRE: He's Still Got That Red Hot Schnozz". I just, you know, want to be known for more than the schnozz - I pushed my big nose right off the table a long time ago, don'tcha know. So I suggested they should probably put Prince on the cover instead, and they said "hey, that's just crazy enough to work!" - and the rest, you know, is history.
