NO not personal injury! i've done that and i can't tell you how awful it is reviewing medical records and learning allll about people's health issues, then meeting with them and trying to forget it all, the alcoholism, the spousal battery, the bulimia, etc. very tragic in some cases, because when we requst the med. recs. the recs aren't limited to just the issue at hand. we get ALL their medical records, dating back to whenever, and establish their history from there. i didn't last long at personal injury!

Heheh...they were the only pair I could think of at the moment.

I know how the medical records go. I go through those every single day at work (records dept at Mayo Clinic in Rochester). Some of the stuff is downright funny, though.

My wife is in family law and likes it a lot. I'd be screwed if we ever ended up getting divorced, though. lol

don't you think it's wild that, when we handle construction litigation and in the interrogatories someone asks "have you ever been involved in a lawsuit involving construction defects before?" counsel can object as to relevancy, and that issue (which is totally relevant because in some cases there are construction companies building leaky homes right and left - we're talking every single one) is dropped

yet, when we request medical record no such limits are imposed as to relevancy when it comes to an individual's entire medical history, abortions and all? you'd think we'd only be able to access their records as pertains to harm they've suffered from say, mold growing in the walls of their leaky homes, but noooo we get the entire shebang and go from there. i mean, doesn't that seem a bit skewed or something?

dang computer making typos edit. i'm telling you, the machines of the world are against me today

He used to fax me all the time, but his pictures of crosses he'd send kept coming out of my machine in the wrong direction so he stopped doing it.

ok i'm feeling better now, and thanX to all of you and your kind support and for listening. don't worry, i'll try not to make a habit of posting a thread every time my job stresses me out. in fact, from now on to prevent just such stress from re-occurring i'll take to hiding a bottle of something strong in the bottom desk drawer. you're all welcome to stop by for a drink anytime!

hug I hate it when office equipment acts up on me, it really makes me mad. The copier where I work jams up a lot, and always in the same place. Even after all the paper is cleared out, there is still an error message on the screen. Sometimes I need to open and close every single drawer and latch in order to get the error message to clear. pissed

yep. it did that nod i think i went wrong when i muttered something to the effect that it shouldn't be a b&tch, and all the other equipment heard me, took offense, and went on strike

PC load letter?! What the fuck does that mean??

I mean, like, where is the sun?

software somehow 'disappeared' the document entirely - not even in the recycle bin
after conferring with the tech guy, it became apparent the doc was gone. totally. beyond retrieval. so, i re-created the document.

This is because of a virus you picked up whilst browsing at bigcockcity.com

then, the copier jammed - preventing copies of the document from being made for all parties concerned.
so, i unjammed it after a (frustrating) while

This is because you have been sat on top of the copier, after hours, photocopying your bottom. You then anomynously posted the photocopies to junior interns.

but noooo, the fax machine reached its memory capacity and jammed, preventing transmission

That's because you had used the fax machine phone-line to make calls to 1-800-FELCH-ME. You didn't want to use the phone on your desk, knowing that it would be traced - and forgot to plug the fax machine back in!

so my question is - can office equipment be possessed by demons from hell? if so should i perform an exorcism or should i pander to the demons by leaving them offerings of incense and food?

You just need to wear tighter pants and pray to God for deliverance, every waking second - you pervert!

I work in a law office. I hate it when the copier I need breaks down and then using the dinky shitty small copier is shit coz it don't do what the bigger copier can do.
