I had the most EXCELLENT experience on the train yesterday! I was on my way to LA on the Blue Line Metro train. I'm sitting at the end of the train car right before the section that connects the next car to the one I'm in. On the other end of the car is a guy with a huge boombox. It's not on.
Then a young black girl, no more than 15 or 16, dressed in hoop earrings, doo-rag, belly shirt and jeans walked on with a cd in her hand. She walked right over to the boombox, opened the CD player, popped in her CD and pressed play. Just like that. She just started singing and dancing. At first you could see that some of the people were uncomfortable. Well by the time she's performing to the 4th song (Usher's "Yeah") the entire 2 cars were rockin! Everybody was clappin and singing along and another womans little babies were in the aisle dancing. The power of music.....It was simply one of those moments of life that connected a bunch of strangers and caught them all up in the spirit of what makes life worth living. After "Yeah" was over she announced that she was going to perform one more song before getting off. Then we arrived at her train stop in Compton I sat there just thinkin how awesome it was that a girl from the hood gave the riders on the train so much more than the average person would ever think about a girl from the ghetto. As she got off she said "Now yall don't be surprised when you see me on TV". I know I won't be . " was on my way to LA on the Blue Line Metro train. I'm sitting at the end of the train car right before the section that connects the next car to the one I'm in. On the other end of the car is a guy with a huge boombox. It's not on. suddenly, the guy walks up to me and asks me to perform my duties on his member..." Space for sale...

You enjoyed the moment and now everytime you hear that song it will recall a pleasant memory for you. I'm firmly planted in denial
