Whoa, chill, man! I'm pretty sure Sos was jokin'. Although much has been written over the years of Friends' lily-white portrayal of one of the most diverse cities in the world. And, no, for me, putting Aisha Tyler's fine and smart self on the show didn't ameliorate things. Especially when she was into the Friends guys... Yeah, that may not have bugged PP4, but it obviously bugged me... lol

But, again, I read Sosgemini's comments to be lighthearted.

I'm glad this show is going off the air. I'm so sick to death of those 6 "beautiful people" and the millions they make each week. The show hasn't been good for 6 years or more. It's definitely time for it to go.

The women get skinnier every season as the men get chubbier. Its like the men are eating them.

It stopped being funny when Chandler and Monica got together.

That's quite true nod and IMO - Jennifer A. is only as popular as she is because of the gorgeous hunk and fine actor she's married to. People wouldn't think she was so great if she wasn't married to Brad.

co-sign. sosgemini was making a point about that show's lack of characters of color. he wasn't making a racist remark. i didn't see that in the context or subtext, and i know sosgemini well enough to vouch for him. this accusation is absurd, believe me.

and i love love LOVE aisha tyler...her stint on E!'s "talk soup" was nothing short of absolute comedic brilliance - her run on that show was up there with greg kinnear (back when he was amazingly funny, remember those days?) - but i agree, even having HER gorgeous whip-smart self on "friends" was a case of too little, too late.

Man, I saw her on the gameshow "Weakest Link," when she wiped the floor with the other contestants. She's brilliant and, alas, very married.

I heard her in an interview on the Tavis Smiley show on NPR, and he was asking her if people gave her a hard time about her first name - she said she was gonna name her baby Thug Passion. lol

see, I think their union brought the most brilliant season of friends. Season Five, the episodes while the others slowly find out about C&M are HI-larious.

I am happy for it to end though, the show has gone on long enough and it's time to say buh-bye.

But I liked it better when Chandler's sexuality was "questionable".

Monica is the most boring character. She used to over-eat and now she's tidy - that isn't great character development. All the other characters seemed to have more of a past behind them.

My favourite character is Phoebe.

I really don't know what Jennifer Aniston will do after this. All her film performances have just been variations on 'Rachel'. She should realise she's a one-trick pony, find her niche and stick to it. I do think her comic timing is great. She reminds me a lot of Doris Day - you know when she huffs and puffs and screams out in mock-shock?

-monica's character was okay, but got worse through the years. These past 2 seasons she's been so shrill and annoying most of the time. A friend of mine said it was like she became a caricature of her original character.

-phoebe is the best!

-have you seen "The Good Girl"? That movie convinced me that Jenifer Aniston COULD be more than Rachel. I just think it may take her a while to get there. I hope she hangs-out in the indie-film world for a while to help herself be seen as more than Rachel.

'Smelly Cat' really is 'Empty Room'. smile

Next time you listen to 'Empty Room', sing:

Empty Room,
Empty Room,
What have they been feeding you?

Empty Room,
Empty Room,
Its not your fault!

p.s. I don't think I've seen The Good Girl - I'll try and see if I can rent it from someplace.
