After 8 years on the Org, I think I'm gonna move to another message board forum. Someone told me about it.. stating there was too much negativity here. I don't think that's necessarily true, I think you can find negativity anywhere if you look hard for it.

I think it's because it's changed TOO much. The site is great, the news updates are outstanding.. but it is entirely too cliquish. If you don't post 2000 threads about bullshit, no one speaks to you anymore. Back in the day, people would just talk to anyone, it didn't matter. Now, you have to post 300 times a day for people to notice you, and usually that means they'll either love you or talk shit about you.

This is not a "Oh pay attention to me!!" thread. Not in the least bit. But it's not fun anymore because of the reason I stated before. It's kinda sad too, because I've been dedicated to this site and it's previous moniker for sooo long. Ah well.

I hope you find things better at the new site that you're going to, however, I just wanted to point out that while there are certain circles of people on this site who have become, well... internet friends, I suppose, who speak to one another on a regular basis and reply to one anothers posts frequently or just plain goof around with one another, I don't think that anyone really excludes anyone because they aren't in the "clique".

I don't think that anyone has to post numerous threads to become a part of a circle of people, but, one does have to post some in order to be noticed, you're right. If your posts are limited to a few here and there people aren't going to really remember who you are, or get to know you enough to joke around with you and such. You know what I'm saying?

With this account that you have now, you've posted with it 195 times over a two year time span. It is difficult to involve anyone in a conversation if they, themselves, aren't involved in it.

Anyway, I hate to see you go and it'd be nice if you'd reconsider.

I'm sorry you feel that way. With few exceptions I don't interact with "newbies" until I have seen their posts awhile. It isn't a matter of 'cliquishness' but that generally they are recycled and you just don't know if friend or foe.

I haven't been here as long as you, but since 2002 I have posted 6000 times and you only have 200. But most of my posts are in the org artist's community forum, so I'm still pretty much invisible in GD and like, non-existent in the P&R forum. Compared to some people on this site, I ONLY have 6000 posts...

You're right, people who post all over the place are gonna be more familiar and seem more "popular", but really, what's the point of that? Just have fun! Interact with your friends here through orgnotes and create your own threads that you can have some fun on!
