MrSoundMan

a couple of years ago they started airing the whole series at night, exactly around the time that I'd get in bed and try to fall asleep. so I'd watch it from bed. yes, the whole series.

I remember when I was really little my mom would watch it. I never really understood the show, but then again I was really little. I tried watching it on reruns like a year or two ago and I still didn't understand it. They needed more sex and explosions on that show.

I've seen it, John Boy and those guys. Mary Ellen and Grandpa etc.
They always said "goodnight John Boy," at the end of every show.

It's funny that many never wathced it but the Goodnight John Boy made it into the lexicon as one the the earliest catch-phrases.

Used to watch it every Sunday night. "Good Night John Boy"!!!!! My fave character was Grandpa.

Also those 2 sisters and their "recipe". I never really knew the recipe was till I figured it out one day that the recipe was actually 100% proof alcohol.

Man, when I was little my mom and grandma never missed that show, or "Little House". Of course, my grandpa faithfully watched reruns of the "masculine" equivilants: "Gunsmoke" and "Bonanza". Its a wonder I didn't think that rustic 19th century living was just how it was!

Precisely. That's the only thing I remember about it; all the goodnights they'd say at the end of the show.

It was during the 67th season. The scriptwriters ran out of ideas and basically, the plot involved the long-dead grandma possessing the mum.

It ended with the house exploding and the whole syrupy family perishing, within!

This final episode played out with the title track to Graffiti Bridge. It was incredibly moving.

I barely remember this show...my grandparents used to watch this on
Sunday nights. The grandmother on the show was a bit fiesty, much
like my own.

There's a lot of cast members, surprised non went on and became a
big star.

one last thing...Johnboys mole was HUGE eek
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

When I was a little kid, I would rather take a nap than watch THE WALTONS, and I hated naps. neutral
