oooooh! Me too!! I totally relate. I read quite a bit, but I enjoy collecting books. I've even bought books I wasn't sure I wanted to read just because I liked the font and the nice sturdy paper and it is bound well. It's like an art to me. And the first really nice jewelry I bought myself was kinda like your jeep, only on a much smaller scale. And I love fashion! While I occasionally make my own clothes/modify stuff I buy inexpensively, I can't make a shoe for myself cheaply. I LOVE shoes. Wearing a fabulous outfit I created or put together just so is one of my favorite hobbies. It may be silly and superficial for some people but it's a creative outlet for me.
See, possessions can bring you some amounts of happiness. It's when you think you CAN'T be happy without them that becomes the issue.

Yes, i have bought happiness. Materialist happiness is short lived.

There is soo much more happiness that money cant buy:
Seeing your children laugh and smile.
Loving someone and knowing someone loves you
laughter
peace
freedom
family
friendship
the list goes on and on.....
There is one puchase that I made a while back that has kept on giving me happiness and loyalty and that is my dog. biggrin

My Jeep (because it's the first thing that's really MINE, not loaned or bought for me, it's a symbol of accomplishing something by myself, for myself)

Jewelry

My camera (because it allows me to share what I see and how I see it with those I love)

and of course....

many many many pairs of SHOES!
