Anxiety said: Okay, so camel spiders eat rats. So do snakehead fish.
Camel spiders (supposedly) aren't lethally venomous. Snakehead fish supposedly aren't venomous at all. HOWEVER: Snakehead fish can run around on land using their fins as legs. Can camel spiders swim or dive? SO I think snakehead fish are in the advantage here, and could kick a camel spider's ass. And if this fight were filmed, it would outgross Alien vs. Predator. yeah uh huh. VERRRRRY comforting thoughts thankyouverymuch

Yeah, but I just decided camel spiders are scarier than snakehead fish. Though it would really suck twice as bad if a camel spider snuck in one end of the bath and a snakehead fish snuck in the other. That would be really just too unpleasant.

EEEK!!!!! i bet it can jump too. that's what i'm afraid of. spiders scuttle, if you know what i mean, and drop down on a person. but the really, really scary ones, imo, are the ones that can jump. [This message was edited Mon May 3 17:50:57 2004 by XxAxX]

AND did I mention snakehead fish can walk on their fins? Whether you go with the fish or the spider, you're not safe either way. Your best bet is to hope that they both decide to attack you at the same time and wind up getting distracted and battling each other. Then you can sneak off and escape.

Yes, but I wouldn't count out the snakehead fish completely. Camel spiders just have the two sharp mandible fangs (granted, they're the size of flamingo beaks), while the snakehead fish has a whole mouth full of razor sharp teeth. And imagine what would happen if you were walking down a deserted country road in the middle of the night and accidentally STEPPED on a snakehead fish. What I'm really worried about is that the camel spider and the snakehead fish will engage in an unholy mating ritual and give birth to the snakehead spider. Both species lay eggs, you know. So it could happen, realistically speaking.

But that's beside the point. I can't help it if there are many safety precautions to consider regarding snakehead fish and camel spiders. It is not unacceptable to discuss all the horrible things that could happen - in fact, it is NON-UNACCEPTABLE. Maybe you need another picture of a camel spider to give you a wake up call:
