Various artists I have meet have openly admitted that they crave the attention they get while performing and would rather die than stop performing.

So I was just wondering if this is true of all entertainers:
Can entertainers in general and singers in particular be reduced to a bunch of attention seeking whores or is there more than meets the eye?

all artists want attention to feel they are credible. no point in doing something for no one to hear. we all want recognition and what they are doing is worthy. please do not tell me otherwise.

not all artist want the screaming attention though. thats not their choice. but it depends on the route you take. how do we know prince does not like the screaming girls.....just like we see in the britney concerts (ive been to both artists shows to see).

does that not make him an attentinon seeking whore too? he played the sex game too befoe britney was in diapers knowing full well the attention that will give him.

princes personal life was always talked about. i remember some tings. seeing pics with kim basinger etc.(i was young too) he was on coverso f magazines..he playe the fame gam as much as anyone else. its only recently hes been more reclusive. i'm sure britney will go there too as she gets older.

britney's only secret was her virginity and she couldn't even keep her mouth closed about that.

prince actually has a reason to be famous. he's a talented musician.

britney chased fame down and now that she has her teeth in it she'll do anything so that she doesn't have to let it go. it doesn't seem like prince is like that or at least not to that extreme.

also, you can compare prince and britney because they are both in the same industry and have faced similar pressure from the media, etc. it especially makes sense to compare them, or any other famous person for that matter, within the context of this thread. It's not like i'm comparing breast size between the two.

you also didn't address my question about the time period when prince was not doing interviews. wouldn't that make someone less of an attention whore? i don't think that's something that can be overlooked.

perhaps prince does have attention whore tendencies but there is also a great deal more to him as a person in the public eye. i can't say that about britney. she's definitely not a woman of substance. now maddona, that's a different story. yes, maddona is a media whore but she's also an artist and there is more to her than just trying to get attention for attention's sake. she usually has something to say or some point to make.

and no, i don't hate all of britney's music. i mostly hate how uneducated she is, but that's not entirely her fault. we live in a sick society.
