WOW. I didn't know Pudding Pops were gone.

And I LOVED New York Seltzer. Bummer.

Remember OK Cola? A Coke product from the early 90's, with a gray can, and cheap ads -- designed to appeal to Generation X.

And there was another short lived cola in the 80's. I'm remembering a red can, and the advertising talked about the "cola berry."
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

Yup. It was only test-marketed in a few areas before it was discontinued, but I was able to pick up a can in the Boston area. I still have the can, which sits on my windowsill. The 1-800-I-FEEL-OK was amusing.

My favorite failed product is the United States of America.

That's right. Failed. You gave it a good run, but look what you've done with yourselves. You gained independence and then threw. it. away.

Without us you are nothing.

Go ahead. Vote for John Stevens. Idolize Jasmine. These are the people whom you deserve and who deserve you.

You couldn't shine Robbie William's shoes.

Next.

What was that one thing that was at your local grocery store, fast food restaurant, department store, etc. for all too brief a time that you actually LIKED?
(okay, so I HATED Crystal Pepsi, but I bet someone out there has a reserve of the stuff in their cellar for special occasions eek )

Anyone eat Chicken Tonight?
It's still around, but evidently, they don't sell it in the markets 'round here anymore. I miss it!

I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!! dancing jig lol

Here in OZ these comedians created a skit taking the piss out of that add...and instead of singing "I feel like Chicken Tonight"...they changed it to "I feel like DickHead Tonight" complete with Dickhead Tonight labels on the bottles, and this kid in the ad that even goes "MUM! Can we have Dickhead Tonight tommorow?!" lol falloff

My pop culture lecturer used this ad as a reference in one his lectures. Needless 2 say there were some rather amused studentz!!! nod giggle

There was this one stuff I used to love when I was a kid, which were these plastic straws full of powder like pixie stix, only you'd dump the powder into milk and drink the concoction through the straw. They had yer typical chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, but they also had wacky flavors like banana, orange and lime. The lime was gross, but when you're 8 years old, green milk rocks no matter what it tastes like.

Anyway, I miss that stuff.
