My mom calls that "weenie wars" - as in whoever has the loudest stereo must have the biggest weenie. Or at least they ARE the biggest weenie. lol

I used to have a neighbor across the hall who'd play her music too loud, but it was always stuff I liked - so I'd actually turn off my music and listen to hers, or else I'd put on the same CD and try to synch up my stereo with hers. Then I'd notice her doing the same thing when I was playing something loud. We never spoke the entire time she lived across the hall, but I guess we had our own weird neighborly communication with our stereos.

When I was at Uni' some twat upstairs woke me up at 4am with that pathetic rock shite aka Linkin Park. As such, I treated them to Public Enemy's 'Fear of a black planet' the next day.

My neighbor now likes to wake me up with stuff like Van Hagar's "Dreams" and Creed...it's like my morning karma payback or something. disbelief

as a sound man, I always make sure I have the best and loudest sound system in the neighborhood biggrin

And also most of my neighbors are in their 70s lol
Funny how I always hear ambulance' sirens when I play loud music, then I hear about a neighbor having a heart attack whistling

maybe moses was slightly deaf or god was a bad speller and it should have been 'loud thy neighbor' instead of 'love thy neighbor' nod

In college rez, I used to cue up the same song and sync it up perfectly with whatever they were playing loud and put my stereo on as loud as possible biggrin

So all of a sudden it would be an LL Cool J "Phenomenon" party or somethin.

The next door guy played alot of late `90s rap (it was 2001).
