My mom calls that "weenie wars" - as in whoever has the loudest stereo must have the biggest weenie. Or at least they ARE the biggest weenie.

Everyone dances in my building when they hear Prince's voice echoing "Ohhhhh Pussy Control" through-out the whole building

I used to have a neighbor across the hall who'd play her music too loud, but it was always stuff I liked - so I'd actually turn off my music and listen to hers, or else I'd put on the same CD and try to synch up my stereo with hers. Then I'd notice her doing the same thing when I was playing something loud. We never spoke the entire time she lived across the hall, but I guess we had our own weird neighborly communication with our stereos.

When I was at Uni' some twat upstairs woke me up at 4am with that pathetic rock shite aka Linkin Park. As such, I treated them to Public Enemy's 'Fear of a black planet' the next day.

Funny how I always hear ambulance' sirens when I play loud music, then I hear about a neighbor having a heart attack

maybe moses was slightly deaf or god was a bad speller and it should have been 'loud thy neighbor' instead of 'love thy neighbor'

When I was a freshman in the dorms, my neighbor always (ALWAYS) played one of two songs: Hotel California and Teenage Wasteland.

my senior year in college i had to get up extra early for this internship i had and i would blast whatever prince cd i happened to be listening to to get back at those snotty freshmen for keeping me up half the night.
