y'all seen those maury shows, what i hate is how maury gives the girl some sensitive attention, makes the guy look bad, excuse u, i don't care what anybody says if the girl doesn't know who her baby's father is then it means she's being a hoe and irresponsible for her own body, that's just my opinnon.

I basically agree with you there... one of my friends for instance believes she could be up the duff... I think I helped her count it down to it being any one of five people disbelief
JaneyPoos used to be it... then they changed what it was. Now what I am isn't it and what is it is strange and frightening to me...

Maury "Married to Connie Chung of all people" Povich isn't going to do too much to directly make the women feel like whores on his show.

If he did, the women in that predicament would stop coming on his show.

And without comparatively uneducated, poor women with paternity dilemmas coming on his show, Povich would be up a creek. They're his cash cow, to put it badly.

Yes, I think it's irresponsible, but I don't think you can separate the sorts of women who appear on his show from poverty and a comparative lack of education. I'm not making excuses for their decisions, just saying those decisions don't occur within an "all things being equal" context.

All depends on the situation really. Some situations its probably good his sorry ass isnt around.I do here what your saying but as long as the baby is being cared for and all there needs seen to thats that.Maybe she dosent want to no?Shit I've slept with more than five different women in a week before, why cant a woman do that?I was young n stupid and made a mistake.See when a woman does that the mistake can be getting pregnant.I dont watch those shows but I know the straight ignorance they parade out there and in that setting I really feel bad for the babies.

Exactly. Because men don't get pregnant, they don't get the social stigma about unwanted pregnancies and they can just walk away from the situation if they don't want to deal with it. They can and do sleep with many women in a week or month, and the more babies they have, the more studly and manly people see him as (even if he's not taking care of his kids).

See, this is why i wonder if there's not a biological basis for these attitutdes in the first place. Biologically, females (human and otherwise) are known to want quality over quantity while males want quantity over quality. So a woman having indicriminate sex is putting her future children at risk because she's not necessarily choosing quality men whereas a man who is having indiscriminate sex is just doing all he can to make sure his seed gets out there. Since women are the ones who get pregnant they have the most control over their children and can chose whether or not a they're going to hava a man's baby and which father they want their child to have. Men just have to keep their fingers crossed that one of the women they've been with will have their baby.

This is just from a biological point of view and i fully understand that real life is more complicated. Hell, even the biological view is more complicated but i am too groggy to type it all out. perhaps i will later.

in anycase, i'm not a big fan of women who don't know who fathered their child but neither am i a fan of men who sleep with every woman in sight. people need to get it together.
