Stolen Identity?

Should I be worried about this? Every so often I google my name to see what comes up. This morning I found this:
http://www.casinoguru.net....php?uid=4

This is NOT me, and the creepy thing is, info from my Prince.org profile is in there, interests and music I like. That was EXACTLY copied from my Prince.org profile.

I also found that all my Prince.org posts are coming up under this togdog.com website:
http://www.google.com/sea...m+vinablue

What the heck is going on?

It looks like you got some massive spyware on your puter Vina. Casino sites are 'famous' for their involvement in that stuff. Google ad-aware for a free program that'll track and remove spy and adware.

I know!

Now I know how Madonna feels, lol. I would eventually want to register VinaBlue as a trademark...

I also found www.vinablue.com ... mad Damnit! I should have bought the domain last year. What are the chances of someone using this name?!?!? I made it up damnit!!! Grrrr.

Cool thanks. I had some on my puter here at work... Hmmmm, around the time that the account on the casino site was created... Interesting. Well, that was taken care of, we hooked up ad-aware already. So weird, because I NEVER go to casino sites...

disbelief

But this person posted as me as well. Creeeeepyyyyy. Only 6 posts though...

You really need to report this. This person could be passing themselves off as you to commit fraud or some kind of online crime. Passing yourself off as another person surely constitutes a kind of fraud in itself. They may be trying to set you up. I would definitely contact the police if someone did it to me.

They don't have my email or website in their profile though. Just the name and the interests are the same. I don't think it's too much to worry about, just kinda creepy that someone is pretending to be me. I dunno. I only use VinaBlue on message boards, not official stuff... Vina isn't my real name.

shrug

I was thinking of creating an account on there with user name "TheRealVinaBlue" and saying "What the fuck, losers?" Or, just going to the contact page and questioning them.

"togdog.com" is also registered to Ben. Looks like he's also got that domain name pointing to the same location of Prince.org. In other words, togdog.com and prince.org will both take you to the same site.

As for the profile being copied over to the Casino site...it could be part of an attempt by someone to knock down the org's ranking or to sign you up for spam. Casino sites are getting banned and blocked by some of the major search engines...

Ok, I just thought of something... Only a Prince.org user would have access to my Prince.org profile... hmmm

Would spyware be able to copy that information? headlp

It's not so much someone accessing your org account, your profile is publicly viewable anyhow. The thing is, someone created a new account on this casino site, and just cut and pasted your information into a profile there.

update: I just re-read your post, and I see what you mean. That is odd...

I posted as you were editing, lol. Profiles can only be viewed by registered Prince.org members.

Ok, do a search for

"prince.org" casino

and you will come across pages like this...

http://www.uk-shopping-wa...usic_Club/

it looks like someone involved with the npgmc site is doing some sort of SEO campaign to boost the NPGMC's rankings...

THAT is some weird shit, Vina! I googled "Jedimaster", and no surprise that I came up with a bunch of Star Wars sites. What's weird is that I found all sorts of wierdo shit, including some sort of golf website, and a police website!

I googled all sorts of variations on my real name (using my full name, nicks etc) and discovered some interesting stuff. There's a car dealership in Ohio with my name, a guy who ran for the US senate, and a deceased British film director!

SEO is short for Search Engine Optimization. I was just speculating after seeing the above link.

Also, Vina, does anyone have a vendetta against you? LOL. Perhaps someone on here signed you up at sites like CasinoGuru to maraud you with spam...
