I did. When I had that up and running what I did was this... I would custom scent each candle. A lot of people like a certain scent, but they would like their candles to go with their decor. So... I would, for instance, well... vanilla candles usually come in a cream color. I would scent any color or type of candle (different wax/effects/etc) in vanilla. That way, the customer could have their entire home scented with one scent, but have each candle in the color they decided. I would also color match to their wallpaper, etc... one lady sent me swatches of her bedding and the border in her kitchen to get the exact color.

I also made up my own designs and styles of candles and would sell them at different prices than I would the custom ones.

I had a huge order for 100 1" square votive candles in Frangipani, with this fancy wax that is easy to mess up if you take it off the heat too soon and 50 3" pillars in the same scent, all white for a wedding from this lady in California. I was making candles NON-STOP for a week. They have to cure for at least seven days before I can send them... that had me frazzled! It wouldn't have been so bad if I'd have more molds to work with and didn't have my kids running around. smile

So, yeah... I did any scent that was requested, but also sold my favorites made as I wanted. smile It was fun... for a while.

that sounds awesome. i often think about selling my own bath line. you know, like exfoliating scrubs, lotions, and body washes. perhaps i will someday.

You should do it on the side and see how it goes! I can give you tips on how to make bath teas and which herbs work best with one another. Another thing you could do, if you decide to do that, is to make scented packs for the neck. I would stuff them full of Lavendar and Mint and they were soooo relaxing! Dryer saches were another one that people liked. So... if you decided to do something, contact me. smile

Why do you need so many napkins?

I'm off to dream up a good name for the meatball hero! Actually, I'm off to watch a movie. Scotland, PA... I think. It's something like that anyway...

Good for you! NOTHING is as important as your children.

I'm in-between jobs right now, collecting unemployment and have also
decided to take the summer off to spend more time with the kids.
It's a scary notion, when you look at the nations unemployment rate
and listen to the news about all the layoffs going on, but I've made up
my mind...my wife works, so the kids are covered for health insurance.
Not to be nosey, but is that an issue with you? I wouldn't take the summer
off if they weren't insured, but, because they are, I'm taking advantage of
the time off. How many times in your lifetime will we ever get a chance to
take some time for ourselves?
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Insurance on the kids is a huge issue. They haven't had it since I left my husband. So, it's not an issue with my quitting my job. The part that scares me is that what if I don't make enough money to survive!? I mean... I have a little in the savings and get child support... but that's it. Yikes! lol... But, like I said, I can't see paying someone that much to take care of the two of them over the summer. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Enjoy your summer with your kids!
