L.A. is a pretty cool town......somewhat! For the few weeks that I have been here, I must say that the City of Angels is not bad. It's not perfect, but it ain't as bad as other places I've been to. I didn't really get to see too much yet, but what I did see was interesting. Probably my favorite place that I've been to so far was Venice Beach. Well, that and Redondo Beach too. There's a whole bunch of stuff to do & see there, and it's fun. It's like Greenwich Village but with a beach. I also like L.A.'s subway system a whole lot better than NYC's. It's cleaner, the trains are more efficient, and some of them look really nice too, like the Hollywood station. Although I do think the upgraded NYC trains are better than any train I've seen in L.A. I haven't hit the clubs or checked out the music scene in L.A. yet, but I'm sure it's poppin'. Besides NY and Nashville, L.A. is the biggest center of music in the country. I'm looking foward to seeing some shows here soon.Cameo and The Time is coming to Hollywood Park next week, and so is Morrissey and David Bowie. I'm not sure If I'll make the Moz show (or Bowie's either But pretty soon I'll be going back home to New York. I'm looking forward to that, but I would like to make the most of the rest of my time here in L.A. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

LA IS FUCKING COOL!!!!
I MISS IT SOOOO MUCH AND CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK. ESPECIALLY SINCE THE FORECAST IN DENVER IS FOR 18" SNOW BY THE WEEKEND. I'd love to be hanging at Matador Beach right now. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista
