He didn't ask me to marry him... he knows that I will never marry again in my life, so, in short, after all of the pretty things he said, he basically asked me to, well, simply be engaged, well, pretty much forever, since I won't marry again.

Well... *whew*... I said, "No". I told him to ask me again when someone actually filed for divorce again and it was final (I'm still married). He said he understood and said some other things.

He did buy a beautiful ring... one I had pointed out one day while we were out messing around. I like to try on wedding dresses, because I think all women look good in them, and it's something I've done since I was a teen (girls, if you don't do this... DO IT... it is a lot of fun!)... and for fun he wanted me to show him rings that I liked. He sold off four of his guitars and one of his P.A. systems to buy it. I figured he just moved them to storage. And, no... I didn't keep the ring. He said he was going to hold onto it until I said "yes".

And... well, I'm still a little peeved about throwing away my things and ruining my pans... among other things... so the timing really wasn't very good. But, I still have butterflies in my tummy, because, if I didn't feel anything for him, he wouldn't be here.

So, now... he's gone to band practice, he has a gig tomorrow night, and well... I think I'm going to go and purchase some beer and get quite liquored up, because I just realized that it may not be that butterflytinglyohitssogreattobewithyou feeling that I have... I feel a little funny about the whole thing. In fact, now that I think about it, as sweet as it all is... he may have just pushed me away.

Throw his shit out while he's gone!

I'd say instead that the lesson is don't throw away things that don't belong to you and otherwise try to exert undue control over another human's life. Then you won't feel the need to get rid of things that u love to "prove" your love. But that's just me.
