Look at all those famous talented left handed people (they forgot ME though) - it's amazing to think that everyone else is so inadequate in comparison to the left-handed kind.

Do lefthanded people read from left to right? confused That must be confusing for you all.

Plus, when you look at a traffic light and see red as green and vice versa.

You poor lefthanded ones. I'm sorry you were cursed by God like that. hug

Wow. I appreciate all the responses (I think lol).
The only thing that bothered me about being left handed was getting pencil residue on my hand as I wrote in school. Not my favorite residue to have razz

As a lefty, I just turn the page 45 degrees and I write sideways. No paper smudges. I can also read and write upside down.

AsylumUtopia

I was actually going to start a thread on a question I want to ask, but seeing as OdysseyMiles already brought up the subject of left-handedness :

It was once said to me that ALL left-handed people start off life as a twin.
So, has anyone else heard this before ?

I ask because I am convinced it's true. When I first heard it I mentioned it to my mother, almost as a joke, and was astounded when she said "Yes, that's right, you would have been a twin". Apparently she miscarried (my twin) but remained pregnant with me. My wife (who is also left-handed) asked her mother about it, and yes, she also miscarried and remained pregnant. 3 of my friends (2 male, 1 female) have also confirmed that their mothers also miscarried and remained pregnant.

So, are there any other left-handers out there who know that they were also a twin ?

I've done a bit of web research but haven't found anything much about it.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

I thought a fairly high percentage of pregnancies start off as twins but at a very early stage one is miscarried. hmm

Really ? I haven't heard that before. I think I need to do a bit more research then.

As a lefty, I just turn the page 45 degrees and I write sideways. No paper smudges. I can also read and write upside down.

Yeah, I know that trick!! People would always look at me funny 'cause I had my paper turned at an angle. Writing upside down???
Somethin' you wanna tell me buddy??
Are you.....(shhhh I'll be quiet).....

lol No, not Batman. The way some other left-handed people write looks so stupid to me. It looks so contorted. I'm like: Why not just turn the page a little to the right and make it easier for yourself?

What's strange to me is, I play guitar right handed. I may be able to play left, just haven't tried it. The few times I've been bowling, I use my right hand. I use scissors with my right hand, but that's probably because the left handed scissors would always be crappy in school. Just raggedy, with dried up paste on 'em. No love for the left handed scissor sad .

We had no left-handed scissors in school and those other ones used to hurt my hands. At least in high school, I had a left-handed desk.

Those lefty scissors were nasty and evil, I hated those things. As a result, I use scissors with my right hand, but I prefer to use an X-acto knife when I cut so I can use my left hand.
