I ask because I am convinced it's true. When I first heard it I mentioned it to my mother, almost as a joke, and was astounded when she said "Yes, that's right, you would have been a twin". Apparently she miscarried (my twin) but remained pregnant with me. My wife (who is also left-handed) asked her mother about it, and yes, she also miscarried and remained pregnant. 3 of my friends (2 male, 1 female) have also confirmed that their mothers also miscarried and remained pregnant.

So, are there any other left-handers out there who know that they were also a twin ?

I've done a bit of web research but haven't found anything much about it.

What's strange to me is, I play guitar right handed. I may be able to play left, just haven't tried it. The few times I've been bowling, I use my right hand. I use scissors with my right hand, but that's probably because the left handed scissors would always be crappy in school. Just raggedy, with dried up paste on 'em.
