Arm the Homeless... just when you thought this country couldn't get any dumber...
www.armedandhomeless.com <--- it does... i just became aware of this organization this morning, because they're at my local wal-mart today giving away guns to the homeless... and wal-mart is their corporate sponser... wal-mart sponsers them in giving away guns to the homeless... ... surely, i'm not the only one who thinks that this is a horrible idea... and no, this is not a joke... unfortunately... they've been playing commercials for it on the radio all morning... they're down at wal-mart handing out free guns to the homeless... 1 in every 10 homeless people will get a free firearm... they're also giving away free t-shirts to everyone who comes down... the slogan is "together we can take back the streets"... how in the hell are we taking BACK the streets by giving guns to homeless people... so, really, instead of just asking you for spare change, they can hold a gun to your head and demand it... wonderful... ... http://armedandhomeless.com/tour.html here is how you find out if they're coming to your town and when... the tour schedule... ... * Orange, NJ • Wal-Mart • January 13 * State College, PA • College Town Guns & Ammo • January 24 * Carlisle, PA • Wal-Mart • January 31 * Ocean City, MD • Surfside Firearms • February 5 * Washington, DC • Georgetown Guns • February 12 * Alexandria, VA • Wal-Mart • February 14 * Fredericksburg, VA • Wal-Mart • February 23 * Charlottesville, VA • Jefferson's Gun Shoppe • March 3 * Richmond, VA • Wal-Mart • March 11 * Virginia Beach, VA • Wal-Mart • March 15 * Wilmington, NC • Wal-Mart • March 18 * Fayettville, NC • Army-Navy Surplus • March 24 * Cary, NC • Wal-Mart • March 27 * Greensboro, NC • Wal-Mart • April 1 * Charlotte, NC • Wal-Mart • April 3 * Greenville, SC • Wal-Mart • April 10 * Columbia, SC • Wal-Mart • April 17 * Myrtle Beach, SC • Wal-Mart • April 20 - 22 * Charleston, SC • Citadel Pawn • April 29 * Agusta, GA • Wal-Mart • May 2 * St. Augustine, FL • Wal-Mart • May 10 * Orlando, FL • Wal-Mart • May 15 i wish that i had known about this sooner, because i'd have gone down and protested... ... i'm sure some of you gun loving charleton heston dick sucking yahoos will probably think this is a good idea... but i'm hoping that there are enough sensible people here that realize how dangerous this is... Back in my day all we worried about is feeding the homeless. When did guns become priority over food?

Do anyone of you know how it feels to be homeless? I feel offended whenever someone makes fun about homeless people. Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity

i've been homeless... albeit very briefly... but i don't think the fun is being made of homeless people, as much as it is the state of the world... because, something like this really could happen... Mr. Ellis Dee-licious, the Official NPGigolo

Arming the homeless is such a bad idea.
I used to work in a grocery store, and on my cigarette breaks, I'd go talk to the homeless dudes. I remember one guy who became delusional often, and would talk to things that weren't there. Giving him a gun would be a really bad idea. He was cool when he was lucid, but that wasn't always the case. I wonder what he's doing right now.....
