Australian Wildlife

While visiting Australia, I saw TONS of:

Bats...(literally hundreds of them in the trees... eek )

Spiders--none funnel web ( mad ), thank God...(dozens upon dozens of 'em hanging just above your head...disbelief )

Lizards the size of cocker spaniels...(well, ok, maybe not that big...)

And of course, birds galore...

EVery living thing there is HUGE...well, compared to their counterparts here in California.. mr.green

Thank yew... cool

The wild thing about it was, there are signs all over the island saying "do not feed our birds", and this lengthy explaination about the ecosystem and the birds' delicate diets and palettes and how feeding them could screw the whole shibang up...then one time I'm entering my hotel room, and see one of these birds walking slowly out of an open window, with a small snack-size package of cheese crackers in his beak...lol...then he takes off, crackers still firmly in place. I just thought "Yeah, ecosystem my ass...". wink

D'oh!
