there are people who push the wrong buttons in me, and then there are times when it's me, not them.

but, i thought i'd share something. years ago i was a lowly receptionist, answering phones and transferring calls while pretending to be oh, so very glad to hear the callers' voices. yeah.

anyway i fielded calls from the jealous wife of a man who had a cellphone number she didn't know about (and i was instructed not to tell her about). she called him at least once, every day, sometimes up to three or four times. she was very jealous, and seemed a bit unbalanced/co-dependent, to me.

also, there was the woman who smoked but didn't want her husband to know it so when he called and she was down 26 floors having a puff, i'd say she 'wasn't available at the moment', and then he'd tell me to 'go find her, how far can she be?' he'd get all pissed and once he insisted on holding for her until she 'was available' i.e. had returned ten minutes later. all that and i couldn't even say 'she's having a smoke, man, so just chill.' she was mildly afraid of him, it seemed, and i used to wonder if he was abusing her at home or something.

and let's not forget the secretary who was living with one guy, but seeing another. or two others. there was a period where there were three guys calling for her, and i accidentally got their names mixed up. she was quite pissed about that, and let me know i'd caused personal problems in her life by tipping off man A about man B. she was not my fan atall after that, which was fine, since the job was beyond my ability to maintain for very long and still remain sane.

long story longer, it might be that rick is seeing someone else. i'm sorry to say it but from my perspective she might be in an awkward situation there.

No, he isn't seeing someone else. He hasn't the time or energy, we live together. I really think if anything, she likes him and has an unconscious blockage when it comes to me. She does have a boyfriend, but he is in the Navy and you know how that goes. Also, there used to be a girl named Stephanie that worked there and she resembled me a bit, but still. What gets me about Myra is that she has never apologized to me.
