This is a funny story that I had to share. I went on a job interview today for an administrative assistant position, assisting two gentlemen. We were discussing how high tech everything was, computers, cell phones, etc. etc.

One of the gentlemen asked me what my favorite website was. I laughed and said, "If I tell you, you'll laugh". They responded, "No we won't!", so I told them that my favorite website was Prince.org. The one guy said, "Prince.org, what's that?" I told him that is a website that is all about the singer Prince, and it has news items about him, a chatroom, etc. The other guy jokingly asked if, when Prince was going by a symbol, the website name was changed to reflect it. I responded that I was not sure, since I was not an org member at the time. The other gentlemen said something like, "I just saw Prince on TV lately, he was on the Jay Leno show." I said, "Yes, he was".

Then they asked me what my favorite Prince song was. I told them that I could not choose just one, since there are so many that I like. One of the gentlemen said that his favorite song was "1999". I said, "That's a great song to dance to".

I find it funny that I had someone talk to me about Prince during an interview, that NEVER has happened in all of the years that I have been working.

I'm not sure if I put this in the correct forum, I dunno, it might be more suitable to be posted on the org discussion forum.

Thanks, not sure if I will get the job or not, since I think I wanted a little higher salary than what they wanted to pay. It was a small company, so I was not surprised.

No, I would never do that either. With my luck, if I were to get the job, they would probably have a way of spying on me, and they would find out my orgname. I would not be able to access the org at all during the day.

I once interviewed a former employee of Paisley Park to work at my company. So we ended up talking about Prince for a lot of the interview. Our inteviews are full of questions like, "Tell me about a time you disagreed with your supervisor, and what did you do". It was a pretty interesting interview!
