(i know i'm starting a whole lot of topics lately, but i have xams in like a month and a half so i should get behind my books and study, and this is like a traditional phase: the first few days i spent more time online and on the .org than anything else. So no worries, i'll b gone again soon)

After my xams (which start in a may) me and my gf are planning a trip to Poland! What we had in mind was a 6 day cycling/canooing (sp?) trip around "the oldest forest of Europe" and then somehow visit the tree main cities (Krakau, Warshau, Gdanzk). Is there a way to do this by public transport, on our own? How are the train connections? How are the trains? Do people speak like German or English or anyting? I know i sound pretty uninformed, but that's actually because i am pretty uninformed right now. Any ideas where to start? General advise?
