My 8 year old is going thru some drama... My son, Nicholas, is VERY emotional...he gets it from his daddy. He will cry at the drop
of a hat, I tell ya. He recently told me that he and Britney, the cute 8 year old that used to live across the street, "french kissed" last summer...he's nuts for this girl. Britneys parents recently moved, but they still live very close to us. Nick calls Britney every day, but lately, he's been taking his calls in the 'private' room... so, the other day, he comes out of the room, and he's crying...he asked me if Britney moves to another state (which her parents are apparently thinking about), could he go with her. (!) We had the talk about how girls come in and out of your life...and how any girl would be lucky to have him as a boyfriend. He's really a special kid, with a great heart... Ain't this too much drama for an 8 year old? Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Nice for him i say. I mean, face it, how many people, once they pass 14 or so, still have real emotions, no longer filtered through grown-up stuff, relativism, or even cynism. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

Aw, poor guy...
...and lucky guy, at the same time. Such is the way of the lovestrucky, I imagine. But damn, think Nicholas could give me a few pointers ? I need a new male role model. The girls in this town don't seem to respond to "Grace" or "Stella" like they used to, or the whole brass waterbed surrounded by plants and lights thing...

You know, it's funny, Nick has always been a chick magnet, probably because he's never been bashful, and he's VERY cute...once, we walked into a Best Buy, Nick was about 4 yrs old, while I was looking at the CD's, I heard this: "Nicholas" "HI Nicholas...I'm Stacy" "Hi Stacy...u like power rangers?" Try that, it might work better than the Stella/Grace line... That's what I thought too...I think it was just a quick kiss, to feel their way through their curiousity. I'm hoping so anyways. I guess now I'll have to talk to him about contagious diseases... Anyways, I'm glad he told me about it, because he didn't have to. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. Anyways, I'm glad he told me about it, because he didn't have to. Yeah, kids usually make jokes or brag about French kissing. At that age, a "french kiss" is the most scandalous, bizarre, and primal act they can comprehend. They usually hear about it from an older sibling or something, and get a thrill spreading the news that they know what it is. Y'know kids, they're like that. With one exception, take me for example, I'm 20 and I just heard about french kissing for the first time about a month ago, and I was so psyched I started running around telling people I do it. Nobody believes me, though...

I'd hate to think that WE caused his rebellious side simply by naming him... BTW, he was named after my grandmother, lol, who was named Nicolasa, a fairly common name in Mexico.
