Yes, it is. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I don't think Simon thinks Jon Peter is that great of a singer, just realizes he'll get lots of votes for being a cutie. I agree. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Revolution said: NEWSFLASH: People DO rest their heads on their middle finger...Simon has done it
before, I've seen it. You people have read MUCH TOO MUCH into this. Well, I've never seen Simon do it before, and I've watched the show from the beginning. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

badly, she's in for a big letdown in this industry. She's a good singer, not great. I like Fantasia the best out of all the competitors. I think she's great. Plus, I like her name, it's pretty, not one you hear all the time. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

maybe he was flippin it to paula - that brain dead opinion starved judge to his right Paula does tend to sugar coat the truth and to tell a contestant that they're performance was great, even when it sucked. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

In the British Parliament it's commonplace for Labour leaders and Conservative leaders to give each other the finger, and even the Queen did it once. I mean, - blimey. Not at all, I thought it was pretty funny. Although, I don't think he was actually flippin' the bird, but it did look as if he were.

He gave Fantasia the finger? :wtf:
You better hide this news from 2the9s or he'll pop! When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Still, he gets it wrong every once in a while... example: He likes the red-headed kid and the dork who dances and sings Elvis tunes. Otherwise, he's usually on the money with the criticisms. But that didn't give him the right to flip the bird at her. If I was Fantasia, I wouldn't run and cry. Instead, Simon would find several little "surprises" in his dressing room..... That's all I got to say.

I watched AI the other night and Simon was indeed leaning on his right hand with his middle finger extended (kinda along his ear. His ring finger was also slightly up under his ear, rest of fingers were curled down to not cover his face...make sense at all?) for quite a while actually. The camera cut back to show him several times which kinda surprised me since it *looked* like he was flippin someone off.

Like everything else on that show, it was probably a publicity stunt, planned from the beginning. Simon's nastiness is the main reason most people watch that show, and I think that much of the things he says are rehearsed. It keeps people watching what is actually a truly terrible show.
Many of the singers on the show are quite talented, but they're being groomed to be sugar-pop acts. Now, a show I'd like to see is "American Band". I'd love to see real musicians compete, with material they've actually written. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

CO-SIGN Randy - Spends most of his time saying 'dog' and 'props' Paula - Likes whoever Randy likes most of the time. Simon - True Judge with realistic attitude. BTW the original English Pop Idol from where all this started is far better. "If you really want something in this life, you have to work for it - Now quiet, they're about to announce the lottery numbers!"
