Kill Bill--What The,,,? =\

She deserves her revenge and we deserve to die!-Bill

And,,,

WRITTEN, PRODUCED & DIRECTED BY QUENTIN TARANTENO

The Cast
,
,
,
,
Blah blah blah!

And thats it? I was getting really enthusiastic that I even had to pause the DVD to make me some popcorn right after that Uma's fight with Cotton Lips AKA Lucy Lou only to find out that its the END of the movie? eek eek eek

I felt hustled mad

There must be a sequel/Pt.2 tho, it would only make sense that way.

BTW tight ass movie(and I don't even like action movies)wink then again, I'm a long-life-sucka for all of Taranteno's movies absloutly WITHOUT any exceptions(esp that underrated Jackie Brown movie). He's one helluva director, his timing is on-point and from noticing the little things in the casting/screen writing/editing/producing and the whole shebang,,its no secret that behind that GOOFY FACE there's a great prefectionist.

Unlike many movie-makers out-there, he strives to mentain that HUMAN/RAW feel through-out the whole story which is the reason why his work is beautifully different from others. Mostly, he truely believes in the POWER OF MUSIC(I'm soooo crazy about his music scores,,which he sometimes borrow from people such as Roy Ayres and many) I heard him many times say that SCORING the movie is the most important thang to him behind his movies which makes me respect him alot more cuz unlike him many other movie-makes act with scoring as something they have to DEAL WITH rather than NEED.

Ok, I'll stop now :p

I'm really looking forward to vol. 2

I thought it was a fun film, but i was a teeny bit disappointed at the "fight" between Lucy Liu and the bride. Lots of wandering around in the snow (very beautiful, of course) looking menacingly at each other before.....

Oh, she's sliced a bit of her head off.

All happened a bit quickly. I dunno.

That is why its called Kill Bill Volume 1. Originally, it was suppossed to be one film, but it would have been about three and 1/2 hours long. Miramax suggested that he divide it into two films, so he wouldn't have to trim out anything vital, and so they wouldn't have to release a three hour + kung fu flick. Volume 2 comes out in April.

Totally agree about Jackie Brown. Truly under-rated!

When I met him a few years back, we talked about how important music is to film. He said that he often drags down his record collection when he's writing, because he can envision entire scenes while he's listening. Sidenote: Not surprisingly, he owns a beautiful print of "Sign O The Times", which is his favorite Prince film by far
Ok, I'll stop now :p

Comes out in April, a few days before the release of Volume 2. Harlepolis either has a bootleg, or a promo DVD (I'm hoping its the latter!!!)

I am so looking forward to Kill Bill Volume 2 it's untrue.

3 reasons it's gonna rule...
1. The Lonely Grave of Paula Schultz
2. The Cruel Tutelage Of Pai Mei
3. Elle and I
and of course... Bill.

(and of course I'm getting the Japanese version of Volume 1 when it comes out,
cuz That's how geeky I am!)

I've read the initial screenplay for KILL BILL before it was split in two part. I wonder if Tarrantino will make major changes in what is now part II -- he's GOT to know that half the world has read the story by now!

I dunno if he cares. I know I rarely read scripts to flicks I really want to see, because I like to be surprised. The one exception is super-hero flicks, which I figure I already will have a good idea of what happens if they're true to the souce material!

No, it's pretty close to the original script. The only major changes were the omission of Go-Go's
twin sister Yuki (so no 'Yuki's Revenge' sequence), and the 'Can She Bake Cherry Pie' sequence
with Bill playing cards (though I hear that was actually filmed and may make it onto a future
DVD release). Plus the Elle vs The Bride fight has been dirtied up a lot, less emphasis on the
sword play, and more on the smacking-the-crap-out-of-each-other-with-anything-they-can-lay-
their-hands-on kinda thing.
