How many of ya'll have locs or just plain happy to be nappy?

If I look real closely and the glare off my bald head doesn't blind me, I can see where my twists would've grown into long dreads.

So, um, I guess the answer for me is "no."

Last spring, after wearing them for 7 years, I chopped my locks off. I have absolutely NO regrets! (But I did have a dream last week that I was still wearing them.) Anyways, I have them in a bag somewhere. Now, would I be perpetratin' if I weaved them back in???

But, my locks wouldn't be "fake" per se.... I mean, they're mine, I grew--not BOUGHT--them. So if I sewed them back on would I be faking the funk like Ms. Badu? (This is a straight up hypothetical. I have no desire to do this!) Though, the idea of cutting off all my locks, save but one, didn't occur to me until later. I could've had a Hare Krishna thing goin' on. )

Used to. They looked nifty, but I have a ton of hair and the mofos took forEVER to dry after being washed or rained on or otherwise dampened. Short hair is so much easier to deal with, but. . .I do miss the dreads.

Anyhow, if you did sew your locks back in you'd be one step ahead of the game since they were your own in the first place. and if you just had one lonely lock on a bald head... double !

4 years now. i can't imagine life without 'em....'course before i had 'em i couldn't imagine life with 'em...
now if i could only find an avatar with dreadlocks...

here i am...dont have dreads but i sure got naps!!

Never had dreads, never will But I've got regualar micro braids now.

There's nuttin wrong with them, but I've got to have a perm every month. I can't stand for my hair to be nappy.

I don't think I've ever felt so free until the day I stopped relaxing my hair and was sportin' a then twists.

I will never go back to relaxing my hair.

i used to be all about relaxing my hair but lately i've been bored with it. i'm currently growing it out and will cut off the relaxed protion in a few months. i'll never do dreads though. first off, my hair has too much curl and not enough nap (i know, so why was i relaxing it in the first place?) and second, i just don't like the idea of having the same dreads day in and day out. boring! it is becoming on some people when it is done right.
