This saturday i'm taking the GRE. anyone else out there taken this test before? any helpful hints? i've been doing the CD-ROM tests and looking through all those instructional books. it's just so damn boring.

Hey, Jessy--I took it many years ago, but in the end I didn't need it (thankfully!). I think it's too late now to give you much advice, since you're taking it Saturday. It's helpful doing the fake tests so you get an idea of the format and type of questions asked, but ultimately it's gonna come back to whether or not you know how to think and remember what skills you learned in college. I think it's easier to take if you're a more recent undergraduate rather than letting many years go by in between (as I did).

Yes Jessy! Take practice exams! Many of them!

If you don't know what you need to know by now, there isn't any point in taking them!

Just become familiar and comfortable with the actual task of test-taking!

Get plenty of rest etc etc!

thank you! i've taken about four full out practice tests over the last month or two and i've reviewed some of my weak points. my goal now is to take a test a night until saturday. i have a bunch of paper gre tests and two more computer tests so i should be set. i just hate this crap. they should just let me into vet school because i'm a cutie who's good with animals.

the test is tomorrow! i don't wanna take it! i feel like i'm going to cry and vomit.

okay, so i took the test this morning and i did alright. i ended up getting a 1150, which isn't horrible but i think i could do much better. i'll probably take it again in may. i'm so relieved that it's done!
