My god, you guys are bleeding the world dry and not even paying for it.
Petrol (gas) in the UK is currently at about £3.50 which at curent exchange rate is about $7 per gallon. Now try and complain, and pay more tax on fuel while you are at it to feed back into the environment. P.S. how do you quantify a Gallon of "gas"? Moderator | Gas is expensive. Not too long ago gas stations here were in fierce competition and boy some places were lined up. Some people came from out of town with their gas jugs to fill. It's time we (US) Americans woke up and realized what the rest of the world already knows.
Gas is a nonrenewable resource. It is (unfortunately) mostly found in countries with social structures that have much inner strife and repression. Both of these points conspire to set up a situation in which oligarchies/monopolies/tax-hungry governments can hold consumers by the balls. The only solution is to reduce the role of this commodity in our lives - alternative ways to derive electricity and heat our houses, energy efficiency tranportation, etc. In the absence of voluntary actions to reduce consumption, the market may force these changes. *****************************************

Man, I remember one year when I was in college when gas on the Indian Reservations was 75 cents a gallon! It's the oil companies.....the market was always greed driven, but back in the day they were more covert about it. Now, they don't even try to hide it and they'll use any excuse they can (like 9-11) to jack up prices. Fucking scumbags.

Not in my city it doesn't. The riff-raff as you call it, can always seem to afford gas, beer, cigarettes and money to pay for their cell phone!
