We used to live on Mars, but when we fucked it up there we moved on to our next victim: Earth...
This will go on until we get to our source the sun...
But knowing humans we will figure something out to fuck up the sun even before we get the chance to get even close enough to Mercury, hell even close enough to get to Venus...

Just set your apeture to something like f/16 or smaller, and do a long exposure (like 30 seconds) or even longer.

The lightining bolt in that first photo sort of looks like it was created with Xenofex or some other plugin and composited into the pic.
