I'm Going to New York An would like some recommendations on things to do/bars/clubs. I am with 4 friends and we are all into funk/soul/rn'b etc Anything we should avoid etc. WOuld really appreciate any hints! We will arrive on Thursday 1st April until Sunday 4th..

Go to the "Soundfactory", it's in Manhattan, fucking insane club.
And don't be scared to do the tourist shit, it's actually fun. Def. go to the village, little italy, chinatown and check Finess in the bronx.....lol | |

I think that I just saw on the news that the cops raided the joint and arrested the owner (or manager?) for allowing...or rather, promoting...the sale of drugs on-site. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

I hear Roberta Flack is playing at BB Kings bar/grill-what is this place like? BB Kings is the shhhhh It's been a minute since I was in the city and I visited a friend who lived in the Bronx. I did NOT have anywhere near a tourist experience. There's this grimey dancehall spot called Two-Eyes in Manhattan. Hell the last time I was there I went to Cheetah's...right after Jay-Z mentioned it in his Give it to me record. Needless to say, Monday night it was on fire. But I'd defintely recommend a dancehall spot...get your blow horns and spliffs!!!!! | |
