As I discover more and more everyday that there is no such thing as true free speech, I ponder if I am truly ready for a world where there is such a thing. Can I take anyone truly being able to say what's on their minds and hearts whether I am offended by it or not? Am I truly content with a politically correct world? I don't know, but while I'm waiting.....

Behind what happened with the Stern show, the morning talk show host that I listen to has been hit with a fine for 'racy' language. This show is geared to adults but seemingly, the FCC thinks maybe kids will hear him, so he has changed the way he does things. On the other end of the dial, on a station that I listen to now and then, they play songs like Ludacris' Splash Waterfalls. Her are the lyrics:

With few exceptions, they play the whole thing.



It's on regular rotation on a few stations here in Chicago so there were obviously no fines for them and no one seems to be going after them. On one of the stations, it's mostly teens that call in and request some of this stuff. I know it should fall on the parents to monitor what the kids listen to but in situations where its obviously not working, should the stations step up and do something? I mean, you have grown ass men taking requests from teenagers for songs like the one I mentioned above. Does anyone give a fuck anymore? I welcome you guys comments.

As I have said before....
If it's bad for the kids, it's bad for us all.

Kids grow into adults who write this stuff they heard as kids.

Somebody gotta stop the cycle.
Or else....

Cause U know 5 year olds listen to the radio too.
