They sell simmer sauces that you can dump in a pot and add just about anything to - then you can pile all that on top of their yummy instant frozen rice stuff, and you got yourself a big ol' heapin' pile of yum.

Anxiety said: Christopher said: you need a whole foods market...they kick trader joe behind. Yeah, we got Whole Foods. They're more expensive and their food isn't as fun. I'm sayin' - Whole Foods is such a rip-off I love Trader Joes - they have good, cheap, interesting items. Get all my juices there (Mango Lemonade, Spiced Cider, etc.), most of my veggie stuff, low fat pizza, wheat pasta, seafood, protein bars, SAUCES The Cranberry Mustard, Wasabi Mayo & Sweet Garlic sauces are my faves Once I got a bottle of Amaretto for $7 & it's NOT BAD Granted I'm mixing it but you can't tell the difference between it & the $20 bottle... Next time somebody laughs you should punch 'em in the nuts!! TJ's

I love to go shopping at Trader Joe's!
Last year they had beautiful decorative tins of X-mas holiday hard candy that I hadn't seen since I was a small child, I got so excited!...Bought my mom and dad a couple of them, they shop there sometimes now, as well. My brother, too. That they're kind of a "Things remembered" market, as well as being very progressive with the good they sell, is what I like a lot. Have no idea why anyone would laugh at Trader Joe's... The nostalgia, perhaps?...

Anxiety said: I recently discovered the sheer joy of shopping at Trader Joes (which, for those of you not in the know, is a chain of funky grocery stores that cater in gourmet-style foods at cheap prices), and it's to the point where every Sunday, I now go out of my way to schlep across town to Trader Joes for my weekly run...their stuff is Just That Good.
Now, when I tell people this, they tend to giggle (unless they are fellow TJ junkies). What's the giggling about? I don't get it! Next time I'm gonna call the bastard person(s) out on it when they giggle. What's so damn funny about Trader Joes? Huh? HUH?!? Ok, just had to vent that. I'm sure I'm not the only crack denizen of that store around here... i LOVE TJ's i used to live in san fran The City cisco and that's where i first learned about TJ's. they had the best potato chips there, and spices, and chocolate. just a lot of exotic, colorful foods. yummy too. one of these days i'm hoping TJ's will follow in the footsteps of wells fargo and extend open a branch or two in the mpls region. . .
