What's So Damn Funny About Trader Joes? I recently discovered the sheer joy of shopping at Trader Joes (which, for those of you not in the know, is a chain of funky grocery stores that cater in gourmet-style foods at cheap prices), and it's to the point where every Sunday, I now go out of my way to schlep across town to Trader Joes for my weekly run...their stuff is Just That Good.
Now, when I tell people this, they tend to giggle (unless they are fellow TJ junkies). What's the giggling about? I don't get it! Next time I'm gonna call the bastard person(s) out on it when they giggle. What's so damn funny about Trader Joes? Huh? HUH?!? Ok, just had to vent that. I'm sure I'm not the only crack denizen of that store around here...

Christopher said: you need a whole foods market...they kick trader joe behind. Yeah, we got Whole Foods. They're more expensive and their food isn't as fun. Plus, Trader Joes has a whole section for instant Indian foods.

It's the wine they get at a great bargain. Charles Schwab... comes in Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Savignon etc... it's actually pretty good for the price. $1.99 a bottle... hence the nickname "two-buck Chuck". If you're a wine drinker... check it out. Now, it's not gonna replace anything you may buy as a wine specialist... but for the price... it'll get you through some unexpected guests. |
