Here's the meaning:

Shoes have two meanings : 1- a partner(b/f) 2- a job. Walking without shoes means lack of one or both

My mom has dreams where her daughter (my sister) is losing her shoes. I know Mom is concerned about her being single.

hmmm... I've never thought of myself as being too concerned w/being single... In fact, I'd say I prefer it that way. And I've got a job. Interesting.
