I came across this title by accident while searching for Aaron McGruder's "The Boondock's" comics. I bought it and finally started reading through it today. This book is definitely going on my favorite books list. It's laugh out loud funny, and full of insightful and informative musings on race.

For instance I had no idea the 80s singer and mall sensation Tiffany is Lebanese.

And I've always been curious about the ethnicity of Eddie and Alex Van Halen. They're 1/2 Indonesian and 1/2 white. (Now, if I could only figure out what Steven Tyler is.)

Marilyn Monroe was Jewish. (I'm sure I saw a reference re: Pat Smears (Foo Fighters) being black. Hey! Anything's possible in this crazy mixed up world.)

Some of the many features include:

There are even a couple of Prince references including "Fight Music: The Beatles' White Album vs. Prince's Black Album" and "Halftime: Top 10 Tragic Mulattos (Prince as "The Kid" in PR.)

I mentioned the book to a friend (she's Jewish & Puerto Rican). She bought it and started reading it before I did. She's really enjoying it. It's out of control! You'll entertained and offended! I love it!
(I also bought "ego trip's Book of Rap Lists.")

It's a great book even tho my colleague jacked it a coupla weeks ago.
