I am like God, and God like me. I am as large as God, He is as small as I. He cannot above me, nor I beneath Him be. Here I am, you lucky people!

Moderator | Shakespeare knew everything. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I love Shakespeare's works. I can't think of many other writers, poets, dramatists etc who enjoy such universal respect and popularity. Admiration for Shakespeare unites all people, irrespesctive of age, politics, languare or religion. I think you only have to look at Baz Lurhmann's interpretation of Romeo and Juliet as an example of this. Such an example is what I find fascinating about Shakespeare's plays in that he addresses many issues which are archetypical of our present society-racism, betrayal, rape, death, envy, love and hate. Whether he actually wrote all of the 39 plays attributed is a contentious issue, however if such is the case, he is quite simply a genius.

He got banned. I saw him over at the NPGNC chat room last night. He was asking about "Country matters". "You know, you're the classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain"
